COVID-19 postpones Lyon – PSG Champions League quarter-final

6 positive test of COVID-19 postpones Lyon – PSG Champions League quarter-final. The match will take place on 18th of April.

As Lyon announced yesterday, they discovered an additional 4 players positive to COVID-19 following two from the weekend. The entire delegation of Lyon has been placed in quarantine, thus the UEFA Women’s Champions League quarter-final second leg match – Lyon vs Paris SG – cannot take place as scheduled, UEFA announced.

UEFA cited the Article G.2.1 of Annex G (“Special rules applicable to the KO-stage of the competition due to COVID-19”) of the Regulations to postpone the match. UEFA annoucned that the match will take place on 18th of April. Lyon won the first leg in Paris with a penalty from Wendie Renard shortly before the end of the game 1-0, the winner of the tie will face Barcelona in the semi-final.
