COVID-19 in Lyon’s team put the return leg of UWCL under question

The latest tests, carried out on Monday morning, revealed 4 positive tests of COVID-19 in Lyon’s team.

The four positive cases add up to other cases, that were discovered at the end of the last week before the match against Dijon in the Division 1 Feminine. Since the Regional Health Agency put the whole Lyon’s women team in isolation, the Women’s Champions League holders have asked UEFA to postpone the return leg of UEFA Women’s Champions League quarter-final, scheduled for Wednesday, 31st of March, in Lyon.

PSG had already the same issue before the return leg of Last 18 against Sparta Praha. The match was abandoned and registered with 3:0 for the Czech team, but the Parisians advanced thanks to a big 5-0 win in the first leg. If UEFA follow the same procedure, PSG are to qualify in the semi-final since the first leg finished with a minimum Lyon’s win.
