Megan Campbell joins Everton from a city rivals, Liverpool on undisclosed duration of the contract.
The 30-year-old debuted in the Women’s Super League after finishing her college career in the US. She joined Manchester City in 2016 and played 40 matches before signing for the Reds in 2021. The Irish international centre-back helped the team to achieve promotion to the top tier and played 22 matches in the last season.
“I’m delighted to be here. It’s a different challenge for me, coming into the WSL with a new team, and I am looking forward to it. Hopefully I can thrive in the blue of Everton and I’m confident it can be a successful season for the team,” said Campbell, who joins Heather Payne, Emily Ramsey, Justine Vanhaevermaet, Emma Bissell, Karoline Olesen and Martina Piemonte as the latest newcomer ahead of the new season.
The Toffees also announced the signing of the talented goalkeeper Libby Hart, who joins the club from Birmingham City on her first professional contract.
