Paris Saint Germain with 5-0 win over Sparta Praha in first leg of UEFA Women’s Champions League last 16. Goals from Marie Katoto, Ramona Bachmann, Ashley Lawrence and Luana Paixao give the French team a significant advantage.

In the last remaining 1/9 finals 1st leg of Women’s Champions League, the Parisians set the tone from the beginning. Ashley Lawrence tried her luck but her effort was deflected slightly by Hana Sloupová and hit the crossbar. After twenty minutes of territorial domination, the PSG managed to get the opener via Marie Katoto who headed in a Sandy Baltimore’s cross. The duo repeated the same action in 36th minute.

After the break, Olivier Echouafni’s players came back with the same philosophy. Ramona Bachmann scored the third after a cross from Katoto. Ashley Lawrence headed in Paris’ fourth goal after a free-kick from Baltimore and Luana then added to the tally witha shot into the top corner in 81st minute.

The return leg will take place on Wednesday, 17th when all the other quarter finalists will be known. If there will be no miracle, PSG should be joining them.
