UWCL: Barcelona miss on the perfect group stage

With the last match day in Groups A and B, the first stage of the Women’s Champions League came to an end.

Despite all the quarter finalists have been already known, we witnessed some amazing matches. In Group A, Barcelona missed on the 6th win after a 4-4 draw with Benfica. The Portuguese champions, which were 0-2 and 1-3 down, managed to overturn the deficit but Lucy Bronze secured the point for Blaugrana. Both teams will play in the knockout phase. On the other game, Eintracht Frankfurt beat Rosengard by 5-0.

In the Group B, Lyon drew with Slavia Praha. Despite that, the French champions secured first place in the group. Second quarterfinalists from the group are SK Brann, which ended the group stage with another win over Sankt Pölten.
