Aïssatou Tounkara moves to Paris Saint-Germain

Aïssatou Tounkara moves to Paris Saint-Germain from Manchester United. She penned a two-year deal, until June 2025.

The 28-year-old spent the majority of her career with Juvisy (now known as Paris FC). In 2018, the Paris native left her homeland and signed for Atletico Madrid, where she played for four years. Last year, Tounkara left Madrid and joined Manchester United but made just five appearances in the last season. Looking for more playing time, the French international defender returns to the French capital, this time to Paris Saint Germain.

“It is an immense pride to sign in Paris. I was born in Paris, it is the city where I grew up. So I’m very happy,” said Tounkara. The Parisians also recently signed Nicole Payne, Ana Vitoria and Katarzyna Kiedrzynek.
