Amanda Gutierres signs for Bordeaux on a free transfer after she did not renew her contract with Santos. She signed a contract until June 2024.
The 20-year-old will move abroad for the first time in her career. After moving to Santos in 2018, she initially started in the U-18 team. But the Brazilian forward soon debuted on the senior level and made over 30 appearances over the last two years. In December, it was announced that she won’t renew her contract, and Bordeaux will become her first stop in European football.
“I am very happy to be here. Thank you for the opportunity, I like the club and I hope to bring a lot of victories, goals and happiness,” said Gutierres in her first interview for the club’s website.
Bordeaux are currently only on the 7th place in D1 Arkema League. In order to improve that, they have already brought in Laura Stiben before the second half of the season.
