Charlotte Bilbault joins, Marion Torrent and Dominika Škorvánková renew with Montpellier

Charlotte Bilbault joins, Marion Torrent and Dominika Škorvánková renew with Montpellier. The first summer arrival moves to Montpellier from Bordeaux.

The 31-year-old Charlotte Bilbault returns to Montpellier, for whom she already made 73 appearances during her first spell with the club between 2010 and 2014. After that, she played for Soyaux and Paris FC, before signing for Bordeaux in 2019. A couple of days ago, the French international midfielder announced she won’t be renewing her contract with FCGB.

“I am very happy to be back home, I wanted to come back to Montpellier and I hope we will do great things together. I have learned over the years, I have matured and I will try to bring this experience to the group and to the younger players in order to get good results and give my best to represent the values of the Paillade spirit,” said Bilbault.

Marion Torrent is the team’s captain that has been with Montpellier her whole career. Since the age of 12, the French midfielder rose through the academy’s ranks all the way to the first team. In total, she played over 300 matches for the club and is one of the key Montpellier players.

When I joined MHSC, I didn’t imagine I would still be here today, and, to be honest, I didn’t even imagine I would have the possibility of signing as a professional. The simple fact of playing football only with girls was something completely new for me,” added Torrent.

On the other side, Dominika Škorvánková has had a diverse career. After playing in Slovakia for for Slovan, she moved to Germany, where she played Neulengbach, SC Sand and FC Bayern München. In 2020, the Slovakian midfielder arrived to Montpellier. After some problems with injuries, Škorvánková became a regular in the last season and played all 25 matches.
