Daniëlle van de Donk pens a new deal with Lyon

Daniëlle van de Donk pens a new deal with Lyon with the French champions for two more years, until June 2025.

The 31-year-old played for various clubs in her native Netherlands before joining Arsenal after a brief spell in Sweden with Goteborg. For the Gunners, the Dutch midfielder made almost 100 apeparances during six years in London. In 2021, van de Donk signed with Lyon and has since played 38 matches an scored 8 goals.

“I wanted to extend my stay. Since I arrived, I’ve enjoyed the club, the team, the environment, the city and I saw no reason to leave. It’s like a family. I was injured for a very long time and I think I still have a lot to prove, but also a lot of trophies to win,” added van de Donk.
