Eugenie Le Sommer extends with Olympique Lyon and will stay in the club until June 2023.
Le Sommer, Lyon’s club legend, arrived to the best French team from Saint-Brieuc in 2010. Since then, she has become the second most capped player in Lyon’s history with 326 appearances, and the club’s top scorer with 272 goals in all competitions (47 goals in the Women’s Champions League, 54 goals in the French Cup and 171 goals in the Division 1 Feminine). She has won 7 UEFA Women’s Champions League titles, 10 French Championships, 8 French Cups and 1 Champions Trophy. Her list of individual achievements is even more impressive. The 31-year-old has been voted the best Division 1 Feminine player on three occasions and top scorer twice. She is also fourth on all-time scorers list of Women’s Champions League.

“I’m very happy to continue the adventure with OL and proud of what I’ve achieved over the last 11 years. The club has always trusted me, we have grown and won many titles together. The story continues to be written, and I hope to achieve even more great things in the years to come,” added Le Sommer.
