Lyon sign Emma Holmgren

Lyon sign Emma Holmgren who arrives to France after a year with Eskilstuna United. She signed a two-year deal.

This will be the first experience abroad for the 24-year-old goalkeeper. The Swedish goalkeeper has so far played for various clubs in her home league, including Hammarby, Uppsala and Linköpings. During the last season, Holmgren made 11 appearances for Eskilstuna United in the Damallsvenskan. A backup role for Christiane Endler, who also arrived during the current transfer window, most likely awaits Holmgren at Lyon.

“I am really happy, it will be very exciting. It means a lot to play with the girls that are the best in the world and be one of them,” said Holmgren.
