Lyon sign Lindsey Horan on loan for a year and a half from the American team, Portland Thorns.
The 27-year-old is returning to France after having previously spent five seasons with Lyon’s rivals, Paris Saint-Germain, for whom she played 58 matches and scored 46 goals. After that, the American forward moved back to the US. With Potland Thorns, she won the NSWL in 2017, also winning the MVP title in the final. For the US national team, Horan played over 100 matches. From the Tokyo 2020, she returned with the bronze medal.
“Returning to France to play for a massive club like Lyon is a dream come true. I am excited to step out of my comfort zone while hopefully playing a part in winning many trophies for this club while I am here. I cannot wait to get started,” wrote Horan on Twitter.
