Melissa Gomes returns to Stade Reims

Melissa Gomes returns to Stade Reims from a fellow D1 Arkema side, Bordeuax. She penned a two-year contract, until June 2025.

The 29-year-old already played for the club between 2017 and 2021, when she moved to Bordeaux. Gomes, who was born in France but plays for Portuguese national team, played over 70 matches and scored 42 goals for Reims during her first spell. In Bordeaux, she made close to 50 appearances and scored 14 goals.

It’s a real pleasure to come back here at home. I’m coming back with the same desire, the same determination and with new objectives, particularly that of scoring more goals. The team has evolved a lot since I left and I can’t wait to get out on the pitch with my teammates,” said Gomes.
