Caroline Weir signs for Real Madrid, making a move to Madrid from Manchester City.
The 27-year-old is leaving United Kingdom for the first time in her career. The Scottish forward, who developed into one of the best European players during four years with Manchester City, also played for Arsenal, Bristol and Liverpool. Weir, with 88 caps for the Scotland national team arguably one of the best Scottish players of all-time, played over 60 matches and scored 22 goals for City.
“Delighted to sign for Real Madrid and can’t wait to get started,” wrote Weir on her Twitter profile.
