Alexander Straus takes over FC Bayern München following the departure of Jens Scheuer a couple of weeks ago.
The 46-year-old has been Sandviken TF / SK Brann head coach for the last two years. In 2021, he led the team to their first Norwegian championship title in their history. Previously, he also worked in various youth Norwegian national teams. The Norwegian coach also has experience from men’s football, both from Norwegian first and second division.
I can’t wait for my time as head coach at FC Bayern to begin, and I am really looking forward to the start of training. As part of a big club like FC Bayern, it must always be our goal to win every competition we take part in. We have a team with very, very good players, and I have the greatest respect for the work that the previous coach Jens Scheuer and his staff did here. I certainly won’t turn everything upside down, but will try to develop the team bit by bit,” added Straus.
