Ana María Guzmán joins FC Bayern

Ana María Guzmán joins FC Bayern München from a Colombian side, Deportivo Pereira. She signed a four-year contract.

The 18-year-old signed her first professional contract last year and played 21 matches in the Colombian first division. One of the country’s biggest talents debuted for the national team at 16. The young defender was also part of the squad at the recently finished Women’s World Cup. Bavarians also recently signed Erin Nayler, Inès Belloumou, Jill Baijings, Anna Wellmann, Samantha Kerr, Magdalena Eriksson and Pernille Harder.

“It’s unbelievable, it’s a dream come true for me to be able to play for such a fantastic team. There are many excellent players in this team from whom I can learn a lot – on and off the pitch,” said Guzman.
