Anna Wellmann returns to FC Bayern

Anna Wellmann returns to FC Bayern München, joining the club from Turbine Potsdam. She penned a deal until June 2026.

The 28-year-old was already part of FC Bayern between 2016 and 2019 but played only for the second team. In 2019, the German goalkeeper moved to Bayer Leverkusen, where she debuted in Frauen Bundesliga. For the last two years, Wellmann played for Turbine Potsdam, making 32 appearances for the newly-relegated team.

“I was very happy about the request and my decision was relatively easy. When an offer comes from FC Bayern, you don’t turn it down. I’m just incredibly keen to get to know the team and I’m looking forward to everything that’s coming,” said Wellmann. Bavarians also signed Samantha Kerr, Magdalena Eriksson and Pernille Harder during the current transfer window.
