Caitlin Dijkstra signs for Wolfsburg

Caitlin Dijkstra signs for Wolfsburg from FC Twente but returns to Netherlands for another season.

The 24-year-old played for Ajax before joining Twente in 2021, with which she also won the Eredivisie title in the same year. The Dutch defender made almost 100 appearances in the top tier of Dutch women’s football. Dijkstra, who signed a contract with Wolfsburg until June 2026, debuted for the national team in 2021. In the next season, she will stay with Twente to gain more match experience before moving to Frauen Bundesliga.

“I have never made a secret of the fact that I would like to make the step to a top foreign club. At the same time, I don’t want my development to come to a standstill. To improve as a player, you have to play. You need routine to be able to anticipate game situations optimally,” said Dijkstra. The Wolves also signed Fenna Kalma, Camilla Küver, Riola Xhemaili and Vivien Endeman
