Carolin Simon extends with FC Bayern

Carolin Simon extends with FC Bayern München and will stay in the Bavarian capital until the end of the next season.

The 30-year-old joined Bayern in 2019 from Olympique Lyon. The German defender has since become one of the most important players in the Bavarian squad, making 94 appearances so far. Previously, Simon played for various German teams, including Hamburger, Bayer Leverkusen, Wolfsburg, and Freiburg. She had a brief spell with Lyon in 2018/19 season but soon returned to Frauen Bundesliga.

“Over the past few years, I’ve matured as a player, a bit more stable. I know my role on the pitch and how important I am to the team. I just try to help the team every week,” said Simon, who joins Sarah Zadrazil and Linda Dallmann as the latest contract renewal.
