Carolin Simon renews with FC Bayern München and will stay in the club for at least one-and-a-half more year, until June 2025.
The 30-year-old joined Bayern from Olympique Lyon in 2019 and has since played 104 games across all competitions. The German full-back suffered a cruciate ligament injury in July and is currently in rehab working towards her return. Simon, who also played for Wolfsburg, Bayer Leverkusen and Freiburg throughout her career, also has 22 caps for the German national team.
“I have been trying for years, on and off the pitch, to contribute my share to the team’s success. As a team, we have made big steps forward in recent years and I am sure that we can win many more titles together, including internationally,” said Simon.
