Cecilía Rán Rúnarsdóttir completes move to FC Bayern

Cecilía Rán Rúnarsdóttir completes move to FC Bayern München from Everton FC on a permanent basis. She signed a contract until June 2026.

The 18-year-old is one of the most talented goalkeepers. She debuted for the Icelandic national team at the age of 16. Last year, she signed for Everton, but was initially loaned back to KIF Örebro. Rúnarsdóttir has already spent the second half of the season with FC Bayern, where she played one match in Frauen Bundesliga and one in DFB pokal.

“I’m super grateful for the opportunity that such a big club like FC Bayern is planning so long-term with me. It shows the trust the club has in me and I’m very happy about that,” said Rúnarsdóttir.
