Celina Degen joins FC Köln

Celina Degen joins FC Köln from TSG Hoffenheim. She signed a two-year contract, until June 2024.
The 21-year-old debuted in Austrian Bundesliga with SK Sturm Graz. In 2020, the Austrian midfielder joined Hoffenheim, where she split her playing time between Frauen Bundesliga and 2. Frauen Bundesliga. Looking for more regular playing time, Degen will join FC Köln, who already announced some other arrivals for the next season, including Sarah Puntigam and Andrea Gavric.
“I didn’t have to think long about switching to FC Köln. I had the feeling right away that FC is the ideal club for me. I’m looking forward to my new teammates, the city and a family club. FC Köln has been convincing this season in terms of play and I liked the courageous soccer. I like it when you don’t hit the balls wide, but work your way forward playfully. I think I can learn a lot in my new team,” said Degen.
