Erin Nayler moves to FC Bayern

Erin Nayler moves to FC Bayern München from a Swedish side, IFK Norrköping on a one-year deal, until the end of the season.

The 31-year-old played for various New Zealand clubs before embarking on a European adventure. The experienced goalkeeper played for Lyon, Grenoble, Bordeaux in France, Reading in the UK and Umeå and Norrköping in Sweden. Nayler joins FC Bayern after the Bavarians were looking to reinforce the goalkeeping squad after Cecilía Rúnarsdóttir’s injury.

“I am very happy to be here. I looked at the FC Bayern campus and the conditions here and you couldn’t ask for more in professional football. I’m really looking forward to the experience,” said Nayler, who joins Inès Belloumou, Jill Baijings, Anna Wellmann, Samantha Kerr, Magdalena Eriksson and Pernille Harder as the latest newcomer.
