Frauen Bundesliga: Bayern fail to secure the title

What a day in penultimate matchday in Frauen Bundesliga! FC Bayern needed a win against Bayer Leverkusen to secure the title prematurely but failed to do so with a 0-0 draw.

But Wolfsburg almost gifted them a title against SV Meppen. The penultimate team, which will have a hard time avoiding relegation, scored a leading goal in the 84th minute but Wolfsburg managed to keep their title hopes alive with a comeback and winning goal in the 94th minute.

In the last round, Bayern will host Turbine Potsdam, while Wolfsburg host Freiburg. Bavarians need a win due to Wolfsburg’s better goal difference.
