Genessee Daughetee joins FC Köln

Genessee Daughetee joins FC Köln on a free transfer. She signed a two-year deal with the club.
The 29-year-old played for Dijon FCO in France before taking a break from football in the summer 2021. Previously, she also played for Montpellier HSC and Vittsjö GIK in Sweden. Apart from that, Daughetee also had brief spells in the States with LA Galaxy Orange County and California Golden Bears. Now the American full-back is looking to return to football with FC Köln. That is 4th summer arrival for the club, following Sarah Puntigam, Andrea Gavric and Lotte Cordes
“I’m really excited to play for a club like 1. FC Köln. I am very grateful and happy that Sascha Glass and Nicole Bender have given me the confidence to make a comeback after my decision to take time out from competitive soccer for personal reasons.  I have trained tirelessly to be ready for the start of the season. I can’t wait to be part of the club and wear the Köln jersey,” Daughetee said.
