Gia Corley transfers to TSG Hoffenheim in the summer

Gia Corley will transfer to TSG Hoffenheim in the summer from FC Bayern München at the end of the current season.

The 18-year-old has already played eight Bundesliga games and two matches in the Champions League for FC Bayern but declined a new contract. “We would have loved to extend our contract with Gia, as she has made great progress in her development with us since 2015. However, we naturally respect her desire to take on a new challenge and wish her all the best at TSG Hoffenheim,” said Bianca Rech, FC Bayern Women’s Sporting Director.

2020 winner of the Fritz Walter Medal, German football association award for young players, rose through Bayern’s youth and second team to the professional team. “With TSG Hoffenheim, I have found a club that also has the ambition to play at the top of the Bundesliga in the coming years,” Gia said. “I already had a good feeling after the first talks because it was a good fit for me interpersonally and at the same time I see the chance for me in Hoffenheim to take the next steps both personally and football-wise and thus develop into a senior international.”
