Glódís Perla Viggósdóttir renews with FC Bayern

Glódís Perla Viggósdóttir renews with FC Bayern München for an additional three years, until June 2026.

The 28-year-old arrived to Bavaria in 2021 from a Swedish side, Rosengard. The Icelandic defender soon established herself as one of the key players and was on the pitch every single minute in the last season of Frauen Bundesliga. Up to date, she made 67 appearances for Bayern and won the German championship in the 2022/23 season. At international level, Viggósdóttir has over 100 caps for the Iceland national team.

“We have started a really interesting and great process here. This is something I want to continue to be a part of. It’s fantastic that I can stay here for three more years. I’m very happy about it and want to contribute as much as possible to the team,” said the captain of the German champions.
