Glódís Viggósdóttir moves to FC Bayern

Glódís Viggósdóttir moves to FC Bayern from a Swedish FC Rosengaard. The Icelandic defender signed a three-year contract.
The 25-year-old  played for different Icelandic clubs before moving to the Swedish Damallsvenskan league in 2015. After two seasons with Eskilstuna United she joined FC Rosengård in 2017. Icelandic international won the Swedish cup twice and became Swedish champion in 2019. Viggósdóttir has a vast experience also on international stage, with more than 80 caps for the Icelandic national team.

“Bayern have made history several times. I hope we can build on that, achieve even more together and I can do my part. I want to win the league with the team and go as far as possible in the Champions League,” added  Viggósdóttir.

Icelandic defender is another Scandinavian signing for the Bavarians, after an arrival of Sofia Jakobsson was announced a couple of days ago.
