Guro Pettersen signs for Werder Bremen

Guro Pettersen signs for Werder Bremen, joining the club from a Norwegian side, Vålerenga.

The 32-year-old played in various Scandinavian leagues throughout her career. After experiencing Allsvenskan, the Norwegian goalkeeper returned home in 2022. In total, Pettersen played 90 matches in Toppserien. Werder, which will be her first experience in Germany, were on the lookout for a new goalkeeper after Catalina Pérez injury.

“I’m really looking forward to playing for Werder Bremen soon and getting to know German football culture,” said Pettersen.
