Ivana Rudelić and Géraldine Reuteler tore a cruciate ligament

Ivana Rudelić and Géraldine Reuteler tore a cruciate ligament. A long spell on the sideline awaits both forwards.

Eintracht Frankfurt’s striker Géraldine Reuteler tore her cruciate ligament on her left knee during the training on Monday afternoon. The 21-year-old Swiss will be operated in her home country in the upcoming days.

“We wish her all the best. We, as a club and team, give her all support, we stand behind her and look forward to seeing her return. I am convinced that Géry will fight back with her great will after this first moment of shock. We will play and fight for her in the next games,” coach Niko Arnautis said.

The same injury in the same knee was diagnosed for Ivana Rudelić after the Bundesliga game against MSV Duisburg over the weekend. The 29-year-old re-joined Bayern in the winter but will now be absent for a longer period.
