Jens Scheuer parts ways with FC Bayern

Jens Scheuer parts ways with FC Bayern München after the end of the season, the club announced today.
The 43-year-old took over FC Bayern in 2019 and managed to return the Frauen Bundesliga title to Munich in 2021, when the Bavarians also reached Women’s Champions League semi-final. In 2020 and in current season, Bayern finished on the 2nd place, both times beaten by Wolfsburg. The parties decided to go separate ways after the season, after Bavarians failed to meet the expectations, and failing to win any trophies.
“I wish FC Bayern all the best and thank them for an exciting, intensive and successful time together as head coach of the women’s division,” said Scheuer, who will lead the team for one last time this weekend against Turbine Potsdam.
