Juliane Wirtz pens a new deal with Leverkusen that will keep her with the Werkself for two more years, until June 2024.
The 20-year-old arrived to Leverkusen in 2018 from FC Köln. Since then, the German defender made 70 appearances for Bayer across all competitions. The younger sister of Florian Wirtz, who plays for Leverkusen men’s team, is also a German international in youth categories. Bayer already renewed contracts with Anna Klink and Chiara Bücher.
“I’ve always felt very comfortable in the four years and am proud that the path continues here for me. I made strong development in Leverkusen, which I hope continues to go upwards. That’s what I want for the team, too. We want to show consistent performances and establish ourselves in the top half of the table in the future,” added Wirtz.
