Juliane Wirtz transfers to Werder Bremen

Juliane Wirtz transfers to Werder Bremen from a fellow Frauen Bundesliga side, Bayer Leverkusen.

The 21-year-old bring wealth of experience despite her young age. Started as Köln player, she moved Bayer Leverkusen in 2018 and has since become an integral part of the Werkself. In total, Wirtz played 90 matches in Frauen Bundesliga and scored two goals on the way.

“For me personally, it was time for a new challenge. I have always found Werder and Bremen very likeable from afar. That was confirmed after the first talks. I also have the feeling that both the club and the team have a great desire to develop something. That’s why I’m very happy to be a part of it from now on,” said Wirtz.
