Katharina Naschenweng adds another year to Hoffenheim contract and will stay in Germany at least until June 2023.
The 23-year-old arrived to Hoffenheim in 2018 from Sturm Graz. So far, she has played in 29 matches and scored four goals in Frauen Bundesliga. The Austrian international established herself as a regular on the left side of defence despite a crucial ligament injury in her first season with the club. Good performances let to an early contract extension, which was initially expiring at the end of the next season.
“I am shown great confidence here in Hoffenheim, which is also reflected in the playing time I get here. I want to gain a lot more experience in the future, and I have the best opportunities to do so at TSG. I still have a lot to do in my development, and I see optimal opportunities here for me to continue working on myself. That’s why it was also clear to me that I definitely want to stay for another season,” said Naschenweng.
