“Hello everyone,
the saying “Promise yourself you’ll never give up” has influenced and motivated me through many rehabs. I have tried everything to return to the pitch but the sum of injuries over the last few years make playing football at this level no longer possible. I will end my professional career after 11 years.
I look back on an unforgettable time that I would never want to miss. I was able to make what a job from what I love. I have met an incredible number of great people, made many friends in football and experienced an incredible number of great moments.
I am infinitely grateful for this time and thank all the people who have accompanied and supported me along the way.
Many thanks to my clubs, 1. FC Köln, SC Freiburg and FC Bayern München.
And most of all, thank you to my friends and family! ♥️
Lena”
