Marta Cazalla joins Hoffenheim from a Swiss side, Grashoppers Zürich. She signed a contract until June 2025.
The 26-year-old debuted on senior level as Atletico Madrid player but changed club after failing to get into regular rotation. After spells with Real Betis, Malaga and Logroño, the Spanish defender moved to Switzerland in 2021. Since then, Cazalla played 37 matches and scored 11 goals in the Swiss first division.
“TSG Hoffenheim has made a lot of good development steps in recent years, I had a very positive impression and heard a lot of good things about the club,” said Cazalla, who becomes Hoffenheim’s second summer signing, joining Leonie Maier.
