Mathilde Janzen joins Werder Bremen

Mathilde Janzen joins Werder Bremen from a fellow Frauen Bundesliga side, TSG Hoffenheim.

The 18-year-old played for the second Hoffenheim team in 2. Bundesliga, where she played 40 matches and scored eight goals. For the current season, the talented midfielder was promoted to the first team but is yet to make a debut in the top tier of the German women’s football.

“I had very good discussions with Werder Bremen and I come from the far north, so I already feel like I’m here home. Werder is a team that plays with heart. I am very happy that I will soon be able to be a part of it,” added Janzen.
