Melissa Friedrich pens a new deal with Bayer Leverkusen that will keep her in the club also after the current season.

The 25-year-old has been with Bayer for the last eight seasons. The German defender stuck with the also through relegation to 2. Bundesliga in the 2016/17 season and then returned to the top tier a season later. In tota, Friedrich played 84 matches across all competitions.
