Melissa Kössler signs for Hoffenheim

Melissa Kössler signs for Hoffenheim from Turbine Potsdam and will join the club in the summer. She signed a three-year contract until June 2025.

The 22-year-old grew up in Turbine’s academy and debuted in Frauen Bundesliga in 2018. A year later, the German offensive midfielder moved to the US, where she spent a year playing college football. She returned to Turbine in 2020. In total, Kössler, German international in youth categories, made 54 appearances and scored 14 goals in the top flight of German women’s football.

“I am really looking forward to the new challenge. TSG and the team’s style of play suit me very well and the opportunities and conditions to develop and take the next steps are ideal. I would like to continue playing for the team for the top three places in the table in the future,” said Kössler.
