Nina Ehegötz retires at 25

Nina Ehegötz retires at 25 years of age, her club, Turbine Potsdam, announced today.

The club released a statement, saying that the young German midfielder decided to retire and terminate the contract on her own request. The 25-year-old joined Turbine in 2017 from Bayer Leverkusen and made 51 appearances for the club. Previously, she also played for Kölna nd FSV Gutersloh. Ehegötz was also a German international in all youth categories.

“I would like to thank all my teammates, the club and of course the fans for their support and the many beautiful moments. I wish Turbine all the best for the future,” said Ehegötz for the club’s website.
