Nina Lührßen stays with Werder Bremen

Nina Lührßen stays with Werder Bremen after penning a new deal with the club.

The 23-year-old has been with Werder her full career. Coming from academy ranks, the German midfielder debuted in Frauen Bundesliga in 2016. Since then, she made on and played 117 matches and scored 15 goals for the club. Lührßen thus joins Maja Sternad, Emilie Bernhardt, Jasmin Sehan, Ricarda Walkling and Michelle Ulbrich, who also extended their contracts recently.

“The overall package at Werder was decisive for me to extend my contract. I am convinced that our development as a team is far from over and that we have a positive future ahead of us. I want to be a part of this path and walk it together with my club,” added Lührßen.
