Pia-Sophie Wolter renews with Wolfsburg and will stay with the club for three more years, until June 2025.
The 24-year-old joined Wolfsburg in 2018 from Werder Bremen. Since then, the German midfielder made 55 Bundesliga appearances. Wolter, whose contract was initially expiring at the end of the next season, suffered a cruciate ligament injury last October, so she was out for the rest of the season. Ewa Pajor, Lena Lattwein, Tabea Waßmuth and Felicitas Rauch have already renewed their contracts with the club.
“I’m very happy to be able to wear the VfL shirt for another two years. Despite not being able to play in the last nine months, I’ve always felt like a proper member of the team during my injury-enforced absence. It’s precisely that strong togetherness that sets our team apart and was one of the main reasons why I decided to extend my contract – and do so with total conviction,” said Wolter.
