Ricarda Walkling extends with Werder Bremen

Ricarda Walkling extends with Werder Bremen and will play in green-white also in the next season.

The 26-year-old played in FC Bayern München, where she made her way up from the second team. In 2016, the German midfielder went to study and play football across the Atlantic for North Carolina State University. She returned to Frauen Bundesliga in 2020, signing for Werder. In total, Walkling played 68 matches and scored five goals.

“I have settled in very well since joining Werder & am happy about the time so far. My hope for the future is that we develop as a team in such a way that we catch up with the midfield and don’t always have to fight to stay in the league until the end of the season. That would be my wish,” added Walkling.
