Sandra Starke also moves to Wolfsburg in the summer

Vfl Wolfsburg Frauen confirmed another transfer. Sandra Starke, currently Freiburg player, will move to German champions after the season on free transfer.

The 27-year-old German international, who also holds a Namibian passport, has signed a contract with Wolfsburg until June 2024. Sandra Starke has played a total of 143 Bundesliga and 26 DFB cup games for Freiburg over the past eight years. She also scored a total of 54 goals. In October 2019, she made her debut for the German national team, scoring her first goal. So far, she has 3 appearances in national shirt.

“After eight years at SC Freiburg, the right time has now come for me to take the next step. I am more than delighted to be able to take on a new challenge at VfL Wolfsburg. VfL is one of the absolute top teams in women’s football and I will be happy to play my part in ensuring that this will continue to be the case in the years to come. A big thank goes to the SC Freiburg officials who have always supported me over the last eight years and made me an international,” said Starke.

Starke is 4th Wolfsburg’s singing, following Joelle Smits, Lena Lattwein and Tabea Waßmuth.
