Sara Doorsoun moves to Eintracht Frankfurt

Sara Doorsoun moves to Eintracht Frankfurt from their league rivals, Vfl Wolfsburg. She signed a contract until June 2023.

The 30-year-old experienced midfielder has more than 200 appearances in Frauen Bundesliga, half of that in Essen’s shirt, with whom she spent five years. After a spell with Essen, Doorsoun moved to Wolfsburg in 2018. The German defender won two German championships and DFB Cup while with the Wolves. On the international stage, Doorsoun was part of the German national team who won EURO 2017.

“I’ve been thinking about what my next step could be after I haven’t been able to play that often lately, and I want to be part of the DFB team at the European Championships this summer. Eintracht is exactly the right station for that. I want to use my experience to play a part in helping Frankfurt take the next step. At Eintracht, we have the potential to qualify for the Champions League – ideally already in the coming season, because Champions League games are really fun,” said Doorsoun, who will help Eintracht fulfil their Champions League dreams.
