SC Sand appoints Matthias Frieböse as new coach

SC Sand appoints Matthias Frieböse as new coach, who will replace departing Alexander Fischinger.

The 37-year-old was running his own football school in Rheinstetten near Karlsruhe. For three and a half years he was also the coach of his hometown club SV 08 Kuppenheim. A new challenge with the 10th placed Bundesliga team from the last season will be Frieböse’s first experience in the women’s football.

“The women’s Bundesliga is new territory for me, which I am very much looking forward to. The talks in the run-up were promising, and I will approach the task in SC Sand with just as much heart and soul as I did at my previous clubs,” Frieböse said.
