Selina Cerci moves to FC Köln

Selina Cerci moves to FC Köln from their league rivals, Turbine Potsdam. She signed a two-year contract.

The 22-year-old made first football steps in Kiel, but moved to FC Bayern at the age of 17. After playing for the second team, the German forward moved to Werder Bremen in 2018 seeking more playing time. In 2020, Cerci signed for Turbine Potsdam and has become one of the best strikers in Frauen Bundesliga. During her time in Potsdam, she made 43 appearances and scored 28 goals. Joining Jasmin Pal, Celina Degen, Sarah Puntigam and  Andrea Gavric, who already moved to Köln recently, Cerci is by far the biggest signing.

“I can’t wait to get back onto the pitch as soon as possible, so that I can help FC Köln to reach their goals. I’m really looking forward to the exciting challenge to come,” said Cerci.
