Sofia Harrison signs for Werder Bremen

Sofia Harrison signs for Werder Bremen and will play in Bundesliga for the first time in her career.

The 23-year-old doesn’t have much experience in professional football. After finishing her college football career in 2020, the American left-back played for Coppermine United in the American second division last year. Harrison, who plays for Philippines national team, becomes seventh summer arrival for Werder (Hanna Németh, Sarah-Lisa Dübel, Michaela Brandenburg, Saskia Matheis, Lena Treindl and Hannah Etzold).

“Having the opportunity to play in the Women’s Bundesliga is a big step for me. I hope I can help the team achieve our goals with my skills,” said Harrison.
