Sonia O’Neill moves to Turbine Potsdam

Sonia O’Neill moves to Turbine Potsdam from a Croatian side, ŽNK Split.

The 28-year-old played in Sweden for Husqvarna after finishing her college career in the US. Canadian-born midfielder, who plays for Venezuelan national team, later moved to Italy, where she played for Roma CF and Pink Bari. After spells in France and Scotland, O’Neill joined Split last year.

“I am happy and excited to be here in Potsdam. I’m looking forward to playing in the Bundesliga and bringing my international experience to a young and talented team,” said O’Neill, who joins Mollie Rouse, Adrienne Jordan, Amber Barrett, Noa Selimhodzic, Laura Radke, Martyna Wiankowska, Jil Frehse, Noemi Gentile, Mai Kyokava and Maya Hahn as the latest Turbine’s arrival.
