Sophia Kleinherne renews with Eintracht Frankfurt and will stay in Rhine-Main region at least until June 2024.
Frankfurt’s management is very active in extending contracts with their key players. After Barbara Dunst, Laura Feiersinger and Verena Hanshaw, the 21-year-old was next in line. Named in the Top 10 most prospective players in Europe in 2020, Kleinherne has been with Frankfurt since 2017. In total, she made over 80 appearances in Frauen Bundesliga. In November 2019, she also debuted in the German national team and has made 12 appearances so far.
“I’m looking forward to continuing on this path with our team and the entire club. You can feel an enormous appreciation and great presence of women’s football in the club, so I continue to feel very comfortable here in Frankfurt,” said Kleinherne.
